I'm tithing so hard, I can barely keep my lights on
Dear Lord,
I could fix my car, get clothes for my kids, and pay my bills if you bless me with a little more tithe money.
Dear Lord,
I could fix my car, get clothes for my kids, and pay my bills if you bless me with a little more tithe money.
God does not send out beggars to wring his children dry of the money they need to support their own families. Never let anyone make you feel selfish or greedy because you are blessed to take care of your children and your financial obligations but not enough to support the pastor, his family and their desired lifestyle.
If you are able to tithe and you understand tax law well enough to claim it, that's all the better. But if you are someone who can't afford to give 10%, don't condemn yourself. When you give an offering, you are still financially supporting your place of worship and learning.
If you've signed an agreement to tithe to the "ministry", you've entered into a BUSINESS relationship. You are obligated to pay even when you are struggling (automatic deposits etc). Be a wise steward of what you are already blessed to receive.
Read and study the Word. Always check out what you're being told is "in the bible" and that it's meant for your spiritual edification. The Bible was not written for gambling or entertainment purposes, yet every Sunday, millions sit in the pews being entertained and jived out of their time, money and possibly their salvation. Families suffer breakups sometimes because of their teachings. And jealousy? If you're made to feel jealous or envious, you might be in the wrong place.
Psalm of the Wolf Minister
The lord is My shepherd, I want all I can get,
I want to be rich, and I want to be set,
Maketh Me to lie down in fine linen,
Leadeth Me beside the still waters of My designer pool,
Leadeth Me in the paths of those seeking righteousness for My increase sake;
Yea, though I am chauffeured through the valley of the shadow of Wealth,
I will fear no evil for My guards are with Me;
Their rods and their staffs they comfort Me.
Thou preparest a feast before Me with the monies of thine sheep,
Thou anointest My leathers with oil, My account runneth over.
Surely envy and strife shall follow me all the days of My life;
but I will dwell in My house of the lord for Pleasure; Aye Man.
